Open Your Mouth
"Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it."
~ Psalm 81:10
"What an encouragement to pray! The Lord would have us request great blessings! When a man is earnest, he opens his mouth wide, and our text urges us to be fervent in our supplications.
Yet it also means that we may be bold with God and ask large blessings at His hands. Read the whole verse, "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it." Because the Lord has given us so much, He invites us to ask for more.
See how the little birds in their nests seem to be all mouth when the mother comes to feed them. Let it be the same with us. God is ready to fill us if we are only ready to be filled. The opened mouth shall be filled by the Lord Himself. So be it unto us, Lord, today." (By: Charles H. Spurgeon ~ One Minute Devotions)
Oh, Lord, let my mouth stay open wide for as long as I can have it open, for the blessings to be poured out onto my family and I. I pray for the blood covering over each and everyone of Your children, Saints, Missionaries who are in war torne areas doing Your will, and our military personel who have been sent over seas to fight in this war between good and evil.I pray for everyones Salvation in the nations that they may receive You into their hearts fully and completely.Hide us under Your wing when the enemy comes seeking to harm us. We ask that You will place upon our heads the Helmet of Salvation, upon our chests the Breast Plate of Righteousness, upon our stomaches the Girdle of Truth, upon our feet the shoes of the Preperation of the Gospel of Peace, upon our arm the Shield of Faith that quenches every fiery dart that Satan has to form against Your children and we in our hands the Sword of the Spirit which is the very living Word of God that cuts like a two edged sword.Which is the full Armour of God. This we ask in Christ Jesus Precious Name, Amen!
