Power to Raise
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; the Lord raises those who are bowed down.
~ Psalm 146:8
"Am I bowed down? Then let me urge this word of grace before the Lord. It is His promise, His delight, to raise up those who are bowed down.
Is it sin, and a consequent depression of spirit, which now distresses me? Then the work of Jesus is, in this case, made and provided to raise me up into rest.
Is it a sad bereavement, or a great fall in circumstances? Here again the Comforter has undertaken to console; He has made it His peculiar care.
Some are so bowed down that only Jesus can loose them from their infirmity; but He can, and He will, do it. He can raise us up to health, to hope, to happiness. We who are bowed down and sorrowful shall be set on high. What an honor to be raised up by the Lord! It is worthwhile to be bowed down that we may experience His upraising power."(By:Charles H. FORGIVE US OF ALL OUR SINS, OUR DEBTS, AND OUR TRESPASSES AGAINST YOU AND MAN; AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO ARE INDEBTED TO US, AND THOSE WHO HAVE TRESPASSED AGAINST US. AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM ALL EVIL:FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE HONOR, AND THE GLORY, FOREVER. IT IS IN CHRIST JESUS' PRECIOUS NAME, AMEN!
ABBA FATHER, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, I CALL UPON YOU, TO FULFILL IN ME THE CHARACTER THAT YOU POSSESS. I WANT TO EXHIBIT THE QUALITIES OF YOUR CHILD, JESUS, THROUGH WHOM I PRAY, AMEN.
FATHER IN HEAVEN, I GIVE YOU PRAISE FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY YOUR WORD AND LEARN ABOUT SPIRITUAL WARFARE. FATHER, PLEASE OPEN MY MIND TO YOUR TRUTH AND HELP ME TO CONCENTRATE ON WHAT YOU WANT ME TO LEARN FROM YOU. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, THE LORD REBUKE AND BIND ANY EVIL SPIRITS FROM INTERFERING WITH MY STUDY TIME TODAY. IN JESUS CHRIST NAME,I COMMAND THESE SPIRITS TO LEAVE MY PRESENCE RIGHT NOW, AND TO GO TO JESUS FOR TO WAIT OUT THEIR JUDGMENT. I LOOSE HIS PEACE, HIS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, AND HIS WISDOM INTO MY MIND AND BODY RIGHT NOW. LORD, PLEASE WEND YOUR HOLY ANGELS TO PROTECT ME AND TO MINISTER TO ME AS I STUDY YOUR WORD TODAY.. THANK YOU, FATHER FOR GIVING ME THIS TIME WITH YOU THIS EVENING. IN JESUS' PRECIOUS NAME, I PRAY, AMEN.
