Desires of the Righteous Granted
The desire of the righteous will be granted.
~ Proverbs 10:24
"Because it is a righteous desire, it is safe for God to grant it. It would not be good for such a promise to be made to the unrighteous.
Does the Lord deny us our requests for a time? Let the promise for today encourage us to ask again. Has He denied us altogether? Thank Him still, for it always was our desire that He should deny us if He judged a denial to be best.
Some things we ask very boldly. Our chief desires are for holiness, usefulness, and preparedness for heaven. These are the desires of grace rather than of nature. When righteous men are left to desire unrighteous desires, they will not be granted. But then, these are not their real desires: they are their wanderings or blunders; and they should be refused.
Does the Lord deny us our requests for a time? Let the promise for today encourage us to ask again. Has He denied us altogether? Thank Him still, for it always was our desire that He should deny us if He judged a denial to be best.

ReplyDeleteABBA FATHER, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, I CALL UPON YOU, TO FULFILL IN ME THE CHARACTER THAT YOU POSSESS. I WANT TO EXHIBIT THE QUALITIES OF YOUR CHILD, JESUS, THROUGH WHOM I PRAY, AMEN.
ReplyDeleteFATHER IN HEAVEN, I GIVE YOU PRAISE FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY YOUR WORD AND LEARN ABOUT SPIRITUAL WARFARE. FATHER, PLEASE OPEN MY MIND TO YOUR TRUTH AND HELP ME TO CONCENTRATE ON WHAT YOU WANT ME TO LEARN FROM YOU. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, THE LORD REBUKE AND BIND ANY EVIL SPIRITS FROM INTERFERING WITH MY STUDY TIME TODAY. IN JESUS CHRIST NAME, I COMMAND THESE SPIRITS TO LEAVE MY PRESENCE RIGHT NOW AND TO GO TO JESUS FOR TO WAIT OUT THEIR JUDGMENT. I LOOSE HIS PEACE, HIS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, AND HIS WISDOM INTO MY MIND AND BODY RIGHT NOW. LORD, PLEASE SEND YOUR HOLY ANGELS TO PROTECT ME AND MINISTER TO ME AS I STUDY YOUR WORD TODAY. THANK YOU, FATHER FOR GIVING ME THIS TIME WITH YOU THIS MORNING. IN JESUS' PRECIOUS NAME, I PRAY, AMEN.
