Holiness is a good thing, and this He will work in us freely. Victory over evil tendencies and evil habits, He will gladly grant.
Full assurance He will bestow, near communion with Himself, access into all truth, and boldness with prevalence at the mercy seat. If we have not these, it is from want of faith to receive, and not from any unwillingness of God to give. A calm, heavenly frame, great patience, and fervent love-all these will He give to holy diligence. But note that we must "walk uprightly." If we walk foully, God cannot give us favors, for that would be a premium upon sin. The way of uprightness is the way of heavenly wealth-wealth so large as to include every good thing." Please pray this prayer with me this morning. Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us of our sins, and our debts, and our trespasses against You and man, as we forgive those who are indebted to us, and those who have trespassed against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from all evil: For Thine is Kingdom, and the Power, and the Honor, and the Glory, forever. It is in Christ Jesus' Precious Name, Amen!
