Faith's Checkbook (By: C.H. Spurgeon)

                                            A Heavenly Escort

"Behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go."
                                                        ~ Genesis 28:15

"Do we need journeying mercies? If we go at the call of duty we shall have God's presence and preservation. Why should we look upon removal to another country as a sorrowful necessity when it is laid upon us by the divine will? In any region the Lord is the believer's dwelling place. When God says, "I will keep you," we are in no real danger. This is a blessed passport and a heavenly escort for a traveler.
Jacob had never left his father's room before: he had been a mother's boy, and not an adventurer like his brother. Yet he went abroad, and God went with him. He had little luggage and no attendants; yet no prince ever journeyed with a nobler bodyguard. Even while he slept in the pen field, angels watched over him. If the Lord bids us go, let us say with our Lord Jesus, "Arise, let us go hence."" (By: Charles H. Spurgeon ~ One Minute Devotions)

  1. JUST AS THE ANGELS STOOD GUARD AND WATCHED OVER JESUS CHRIST, SO DID THEY FOR JACOB, ISSAC,ABRAHAM,MOSES AND MANY MORE SO WILL THEY WATCH OVER US AS WELL.WE NEED TO PRAY FOR THE ANGELS SO THAT THEY HAVE THE STRENGTH TO PROTECT US. JUST AS WE NEED PRAYER FOR PROTECTION, SO DO THE ANGELS. OUR PRAYERS IS WHAT HELPS THE ANGELS TO BE ABLE TO ATTACK THE ENEMY WITHOUT THEM KNOW THAT THEY ARE COMING. OUR PRAYER'S ARE A PROTECTION SHIELD SO THAT THE ENEMY DOESN'T SEE THEM, IT IS LIKE A FORCE FIELD PUT UP AROUND THEM SO THAT THEY CAN NOT BE SEEN. SO OUR PRAYER'S ARE MUCH NEEDED. EVEN A PRAYER AS LITTLE AS, "LORD, LET YOUR WILL BE DONE IN HEAVEN AS IT IS ON EARTH" HAS A POWERFUL IMPACKED ON THE DEVIL. SIGNING OFF NOW, GOD BLESS AND MAY YOUR SUNDAY BE FILLED WITH FULL OF LOVE AND JOY.
