Solace, Security, Satisfaction
Although my house is not so with God, yet He has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and secure. For this is all my salvation and all my desire; will He not make it increase?
~ 2 Samuel 23:5
He died for our sins. |
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit so that we may be born again in the spirit. |
Here is a solace, "He has made with me an everlasting covenant." Jehovah has pledged Himself to me and sealed the compact with the blood of Jesus. I am bound to my God, and my God to me.
Jesus Christ is our Everlasting Covenant, through His shed Blood! |
He goes to prepare a place for us so that we can be with him. |
Turn this day to the Lord Jesus, whom the great Lord has given to be a covenant to the people."
(By: Charles H. Spurgeon ~ One Minute Devotions)
Lord, forgive us for taking for granted what You have given us, Your Son the Everlasting Covenant. You sacrificed Your own Son so that we would be saved through Him. I think sometimes we as humans acting in our flesh have forgotten the sole purpose of why You did what You did. No one on this earth can even begin to understand the kind of Love that You have for us as Your Children, in which You have created us in Your Own Image. I Thank You Lord for sending Your Son to be our Everlasting Covenant so that we may not perish, but have Everlasting Life with You and Your Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, I beseech Thee that You make in me an Everlasting Fountain so that I may never thirst again. I beseech Thee that You will give me an Everlasting Manna so that I may never go hungry again. This I pray and receive it in Christ Jesus' Precious Name, Amen! Lord, We pray for all of Your Children and their safety. We pray for the safety of Israel and Jerusalem, that they maybe made whole again in You, and that You will guard them from all the attacks that they are under from their enemies, which are Your enemies. Remember Your Word O Lord, that the battle is not ours, but Yours. This We pray and receive it in Christ Jesus' Precious Name, Amen.
