                                                  Better Farther On

"Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more."
                                                           ~ Nahum 1:12

"There is a limit to affliction. God sends it and God removes it. Remember that our grief will surely and finally end when this earthly life is over. Let us quietly wait, and patiently endure the will of the Lord till He comes.
Meanwhile, our Father in heaven takes away the rod when His design in using it is fully served. Or, of the affliction is sent for testing us, that our graces may glorify God, it will end when the Lord has made us bear witness to His praise.
There may even today be "a great calm." We may, before many hours are past, be just as happy as now we are sorrowful. It is not hard for the Lord to turn night into day. He who sends the clouds can just as easily clear the skies. Let us be of good cheer. Let us sing Hallelujah in anticipation." (By: Charles H. Spurgeon ~ One Minute Devotions)

  1. PLEASE PRAY THIS PRAYER WITH ME THIS EVENING. OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD. FORGIVE US OF ALL OUR SINS, OUR DEBTS, AND OUR TRESPASSES AGAINST YOU AND MAN. AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO ARE INDEBTED TO US, AND THOSE WHO HAVE TRESPASSED AGAINST US. AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM ALL EVIL:FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE HONOR, AND THE GLORY, FOREVER. IT IS IN CHRIST JESUS' PRECIOUS NAME, AMEN!
