Steadfast Trustfulness

He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
~ Psalm 112:7

"Suspense is dreadful, and when we have no news from home we often grow anxious. Faith is the cure for this condition: the Lord, by His Spirit, settles the mind inholy serenity, and all ear is gone for the future and the present.
The steafastness of heart spoken of by th psalmist must be diligently sought afer. It is the general condition of unwavering trustfulness in God, the confidence tha we have in Him that He will neither do us ill, nor suffer anone else to harm us.
Let the mrrow be what it may, our God is the God of tomorrow. Whatever events may have happened, which to us are unknown, our Jehovah is God of the unknown as well as the known. We are deterined to trust the Lod, come what may. If the very worst should happen, our God is still the greatet and best. Therefore will we not fear."
